Frequently Asked Questions

Okay, so in the LED screen world, that ‘P’ in P2 stands for pixel pitch—basically, it’s the distance (in millimeters) between the centers of two neighboring LED bulbs (or pixels).
So, P2 means the pixels are spaced 2mm apart. This number totally affects how sharp the screen looks, its resolution, and where you’d wanna use it. Same logic applies to other models: P3 is 3mm spacing, P1.5 is 1.5mm, and so on. The rule is simple: the smaller the pitch, the sharper and more detailed the screen gets in the same space. Think of it like TV resolution—tiny pixels packed tight = way clearer pictures!

The theoretical service life of LED display screens is 100,000 hours, but there are many factors that affect the use of LED display screens, such as the temperature and humidity of the environment, the daily maintenance and care of the product, the stability of various accessories, and the stability of the power supply line. These will affect the use of LED display screens. Therefore, if you want the LED display screen to achieve a longer service life, you first need to choose a reliable quality LED display module, high-quality power supply, cables and various accessories, and perform regular maintenance on it to keep it in the best working condition.

Different installation scenarios correspond to different installation methods. Indoor installation usually adopts hanging installation, wall-mounted installation, base-mounted installation, and embedded installation. LED display screens used in outdoor scenes usually adopt hanging installation, bracket installation, column installation, wall-mounted installation, etc.

The selection of product model and performance is mainly based on the needs of the use scenario. For example, in indoor scenes, there is less interference light and the viewing distance is relatively close. If the display brightness is too high, it will cause visual fatigue and even damage the eyes. If it is an outdoor scene, if the display brightness is too low, it will lead to incomplete information transmission and users will not be able to see the content displayed on the screen clearly.

The IP65 protection level of LED display screen is a level in the international protection standard (IEC 60529), which is used to describe the protection ability of the device against solid foreign objects and liquid intrusion. The first digit (6) represents the dustproof level is absolutely dustproof, no dust enters the inside of the device, and can prevent any dust from intruding, which is the highest dustproof level. The second digit 5 represents the waterproof level, which can withstand water jetted from any direction with a nozzle (6.3mm diameter), with a water pressure of about 30kPa (for 3 minutes), suitable for outdoor rain protection or daily spraying environment.

COB and SMD are totally different ways of making LED screens, and they’re designed for different purposes. SMD is like the go-to choice for everyday setups—you’ll see it in most common displays. Right now, SMD screens usually have pixels spaced 1mm or more apart for indoor use, and 2mm+ for outdoor stuff.
COB, on the other hand, is all about that fancy high-def indoor vibe. They’ve even gotten the pixel spacing down to a crazy 0.4mm now, which means these screens can easily handle 2K, 4K, or even 8K resolution. Oh, and they’re way tougher too—like, way better at handling bumps or dust compared to older tech.

We do not recommend using indoor LED screens in outdoor scenes, mainly because the two usage scenarios have completely different requirements for products. The viewing distance of indoor LED screens is relatively close, so the pixel pitch is generally smaller, and the indoor temperature and humidity are relatively stable, and there is less interference light, so the required display brightness and protection level are lower than those of outdoor scene LED screens. LED screens used outdoors need to take into account interference light and various harsh climatic conditions, and their viewing distance is relatively farther, so their pixel pitch is often larger, and the protection level and actual brightness are higher.

The price of LED display screen is directly related to the product model, installation method and required performance. As for the price components of LED display screen, it mainly includes LED display screen module, power supply, control card, control system, product structure, cables, etc. Secondly, different installation methods require different installation accessories, which constitute the overall price of LED display screen.

There is no visual difference between high refresh rate and low refresh rate images. It mainly refers to the effect presented by high-speed camera shooting. Insufficient refresh rate will cause moiré in the captured image, and high refresh rate products can completely eliminate this phenomenon. For LED display screens used in some live broadcast rooms, TV stations, large concerts, press conferences and other scenes, we usually recommend users to choose high refresh rate (3840Hz) or even ultra-high refresh rate (7680Hz) products. If the screen is only for information display, low refresh rate LED display screens will be more cost-effective.

When the modules of the LED rental screen are of the same model, the 500*500mm and 500*1000mm cabinets can be used compatibly. In some special performance scenes, there may be a demand for a video wall with a height of 2.5 meters or 3.5 meters, so the two cabinets will be spliced together. However, if the LED rental screen modules are of different models, we do not recommend splicing them together.
